Hi! Today is a great sunny day back here, and it made my day to start it with some great mathcore )) To those who don't know mathcore is a genre that combines metalcore and complex rythmic patterns and technical guitar playing. It usually has weird time signatures like 3/4 or 7/6 etc. It began with bands like Botch and Dillinger Escape Plan.
So today I'll bring you 4 of my favorite mathcore bands out there ) I'll start with a song I've just finished learning recently (believe me that wasn't easy)): Veil of Maya - It's not safe to swim today The next one is one of the mathcore classics. The song is from their new album Option Paralysis, which I find the best in their career. The song itself feature lots of jazz elements, which I find really cool! The Dillinger Escape Plan - Farewell Mona Lisa The next bands are gonna be lighter than the first ones, so don't worry )) Next band I think was the first mathcore band I've listened to. Fall of Troy - Mouth like sidewinder missiles Number Twelve Looks Like You is a pretty jazzy influenced band, I very liked it, it is pretty light and pretty complex at the same time. So I advise you to check it out if you're still here ))) The Number Twelve Looks Like You - Grandfather That's it for today ) Hope you liked the music, anyhoo have fun day ![]() Here's some progressive math rock to cool ya down ![]()
