 In the case of one man, he made up a robbery story just to get a lift home after running out of prepaid phone credits! A Police officer in Maryland claims that a guy called 911 to report a made up robbery story just to get a ride home. Authorities said they were called to Hawthorne Road near Manor Drive in Ripley due to the so called robbery incident wherein the man told the police officers that he had been walking on Route 225 when a car stopped and a someone pointed a gun at him and demanded for cash. He said that he gave the robber all his money then the suspect fled leaving him with nothing.
