When a foreigner comes to the Philippines, s/he only needs to say ' Mahal ko kayo' with a funny accent and s/he would be swooned over. Even if we know that soon as he gets back to the airport for departure he will forget what ' Mahal ko kayo' means, it doesnt hurt to flatter us with Tagalog attempts.
Rafe Bartholomew took it another level. I dont know if he is reading or what but he got the 'ano, ano' filler right. Rafe Bartholomew is the author of Pacific Rims: Beermen Ballin' in Flip-Flops and the Philippines' Unlikely Love Affair with Basketball. ![]() Source: chuvaness.com
